Hi Rohini,

The hype about 7.6 is not real as it is only updates and fixes for ITSM but not base remedy. Remedy 7.5 is real good compared to earlier versions as it has many new features. Please read more about new features here http://remediesforremedy.com/2009/04/whats-new-in-ar-system-remedy-7-5-version/

Brief nice article. The timeline is available once we refresh a couple of times. Good job in putting together the history of Remedy.

Lot of hype going around in the market about the new release V7.5 and “v 7.6″. Any comments on these versions.

Hi Angus,

Even I like to know about the early developments in Remedy, how and why it was started and who made it possible. I am trying to get more info relate to that and will post it soon. Related to Peregrine, I for one believe that BMC had done more that Peregrine would ever do.. worst case they might have discontinued for a HP product.

Hmmm very brief. It would have been interesting to learn how Remedy came about in the early days. The very early developments. Why the produict took off. More on the human story. also this article sounds like sales copy. The Peregrine saga was interesting – but no need to put a positive spin on it.

It is hard to be positive about this article.

Release 5 was designed during 2000 to its release in 2002. It was the first release to use the Mid Tier and publish JSP pages. The actual release was made after the merger of Remedy and Peregrine that took place in August of 2001
